My visit...

Mountain view

I visited Kruje on a guided daytrip from Tirana, and it was a really nice one-hour bus drive up in the mountains. On our way to Kruje, we passed through a small town that George W. Bush once visited. Bush had coffee on a café in town, and the café now has a sign with his name on the façade. I don’t know the real name of the town; everybody just called it ‘Bush City’.

Kruje was great with the very interesting museum about Skanderbeg, an old bazaar and a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. Absolutely worth the drive from Tirana.
