"Within the walls of Lucca" Lucca by Herkbert
Lucca Travel Guide: 566 reviews and 1,472 photos
We had seen pictures of Lucca on the web, but they were nothing compared to seeing Lucca in person. The walls historically may have been built to keep their foes out, but now it seems as though they are there to keep the beauty inside.
We enjoyed walking around the city on the wall, as well as walking through the narrow twisting streets. Each turn seemed to provide a new and beautiful part of the city to be enjoyed and explored.
The people that we met during our stay were friendly, down to earth people. We felt very comfortable walking the streets as there always seemed to be a smiling face wherever we went.
- Pros:Small, quiet town with much to see
- In a nutshell:Can't wait to go back.

Great Lucca page. Duomo, churches and statues look fantastic. We love Italy. We hope to visit Italy again in the near future. ~ho & pang
