The palace and the grounds | Entrance gate to the Palace of Versailles |
The palace at Versailles is absolutely beautiful. It would be an enjoyable place to visit even if you didn't know the history of those who lived there.
We visited in March, before all the flowers and greenery had bloomed. I'm sure it would be so much more beautiful with the flowers and shrubs greened up, and the fountains all operational.
Still in all, a walk around the grounds and a tour of the palace was a delightful way to spend a day. |
