Opportunity of a lifetime I'm a semi-professional musician and was invited (hired) by a friend to play in the pit orchestra for a month long production of Evita last summer. I had never been outside the US before this point and was fatalistic about the realities (cost) of travel. Well my room and board was paid, so here was my chance. It was the best thing I've ever done in my life, musically, physically, emotionally. Every part of me was filled with a love of life during and since this trip and I will be returning this summer to do West Side Story. |
