I always remember coming down to Brindley place when I was younger to go to The National SeaLife Centre which is just next to Brindley Place. Especially in the Summer next to the canal this area of Birmingham can be a good area to come to especially if you have children.

Parks: Ward End House & Park

Ward End house is a house packed full of histroy. I always used to think it was the white house when I was younger haha! The house was owned by Bankers in the 18th century but was then sold to Birminghams land corporation. It then become the park as we all know it today.
Ward End Park is a great place for people to go and just walk around or to go fishing in the pond there. There is a childrens play area in good park area for the adults to sit down in.
There is also caged Tennis courts if you prefer to play tennis or if your children would enjoy playin tennis.

Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens is a 10 acre walled gardens, restored to their original 18th century look. There is a mixture bertween Historical plants, vegetables and fruits. Also there is a Holly maze in the gardens that you can try to find your way around. This is sort of along the same lines of the Botanical Gardens, but not as big in size. It will still have alot to offer if you're a keen gardener or not.
