Jeera
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:

  • The jeera is a balti restaurant which definatley deserves mentioning. It (personally) is one of the best balti restaurant I have ever been to. Everyone else that I have introduced the restaurant to has also said the same. This restaurant definatly deserves 5 *'s.

The restaurant is quite small (which is good, because it makes the service better) very clean and the staff are very kind and welcoming.

  • Restaurant Name: Khanum

Khanum is another one of my favourite restaurants. This Indian restaurant is very small probably about 10 tables approximatley. Personally I think its good because the service is much better because there's less people there.

Theres obly one bad thing about this restaurant and it isn't even the restaurant it's the place its's situated, because its next to a university it's always rammed with students!

The food here is really really nice its worth the money you pay for it and its not an expensive place to eat!

    Bradford Arms: Pub Food
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Bradford Arms

The food here in my opinion is very nice, I enjoy the carvery (which is on every Sunday) and the steaks. The resturant is very nice, small, clean, and comfortable. I would suggest this to anyone but only if your willing to travel out of the city centre.

Kebab Land: The best chip shop in Brum:
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Kebab Land

Personally I think this is the best chip/kebab shop ive ever been to! Everytime I go to selly oak I always have a kebab meat n chips from there (which is not very often). Sometimes if I'm in the mood I will travel from one side of Birmingham to the other just to get me a Kebab, thats how highly I rate this place!

The Tea Room: Quiet, friendly Chinese Restaurant
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: The Tea Room

This restaurant is a tiny place in Marston Green and is very clean, tidy and the staff are very friendly. This is one of the best places i've been to for a Chinese meal and was very impressed with the food and service. Due to it being a buffet that was already payed for because of a family members birthday I couldn't tell you if it was expensive/average/cheaper than usuall. But whateve the cost was I reckon is was worth the money.

Favorite Dish: Spare ribs & Chicken Satay. The ribs were quite big and had a lovely Barbeque sauce on them. The Chicken Satay was big pieces of tender chicken in a lovely Satay flavouring. They were both definatly my favourite dishes out of all the different sorts of foods I tried from the buffet, these are definatly worth a try if you happen to go in there.

Italian, Thai, Chinese and Indian Buffet: Jimmy Spice's
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Italian, Thai, Chinese and Indian Buffet

I went to the Jimmy Spice's in Sutton, but there is three of them, Sutton Coldfield (Shopping centre), Birmingham (Broad Street, behind Walkabout the Aussie bar) and Solihull (station Road by Touchwood).

All three are the same, typical buffet (not out to insult anyone's intelligence - i'm sure you all know what a buffet is!) with a selection of Chinese, Thai, Italian and Indian. Every section I went to had a wide choice of food to choose from and everything I had was 10/10. I was instantly hooked, i can't wait to go back to one.

The drinks were quite expensive with a glass of coke being £2.50, not sure how much the alcohol was - I wasn't paying. The prices and full menu's can be seen on the webite (see below) but it is definatly worth it. The food is some of the best i've ever tasted.

    10/10 from me.

    Tin Tins: Buffet for £5.50
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Tin Tins

When outside of Tin Tins you would not think it was a restaurant. It would be quite hard to find if not given clear instructions. As you walk through the main doors you are confronted with a stairway which leads into the the restaurant. Then the room is all open plan and quite small. As soon as you walk through the door you are met by friendly staff who work there that get you a seat straight away, aswell as taking your orders for drinks. Within second they have your drink infron t of you. The service is really quick and the staff are very helpful all the way through your meal.

Favorite Dish: As we had a buffet, we had a choice from all sorts of food.

I found the Spare ribs to be the best of all the things that I tried. The food was coming ut of the kitchens at record speed so the trays would never be half full and the food would never be cold.

I enjoyed the meal there and I would definatly go back.

Big Wok: You get what you pay for
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Big Wok

Round Brum, there had/has always been a big hoo-ha about the Big Wok. It's a Chinese Buffet eating place, which is dirt cheap (£5 a head) and the price reflects the place and the food.

The place is a dive, it reminded me of a prison dining room, and the food was equally as bad.

I would never go back again, and I would strongly suggest that no one would go there either!

I have no more to say as I have spoke of the place too much already.

Oh, and the beers warm, too.

    Favorite Dish: Nothing...
