March weekend in Reykjavik Just returned from a superb weekend in Reykjavik, Iceland. Iceland far exceeded my expectations. The countryside is breathtakingly beautiful, the people are more than friendly and the activities were both relaxing and exhilarating.
March is obviously a chilly time to visit Iceland but it just adds to the magic of the place. We were lucky enough to see a very impressive display of the Northern Lights. The Blue Lagoon is a must as is the Golden Circle tour which we choose to do in one of the Super Jeep 4x4s.

| | The Blue Lagoon No trip to Iceland is complete without a few hours at the famous Blue Lagoon. The 40 degree C water soothes and relaxes and is great when it is -5 degress C outside. The black lava rocks that surround the lagoon help to bring out the silicon blue of the water. Worth every cent!!! |
Golden Circle 4x4 Tour The Golden Cirlce Tour is a great day out. Just for good measure we tagged on the snow mobile outing. The day had a bit of everything, great sight seeing and plenty of adrenalin. | | | On the Langjokull Glacier |
