Living in one of the greatest cities in the world is something that I really enjoy. I am one of the millions of foreigners who call London my home away from home. As a South African living in London I have committed myself to doing as much travelling as my budget and holiday time allows. Luckily I have a very willing travel partner in Kerry, my fiance.

London is the ideal center from which many places in the world are close, accessible and affordable. But the city itself is a great destination, it is vibrant and full of interesting places to visit both in terms of culture and history. The theatre scene is brilliant and there are some fantastic restaurants to keep the taste buds happy.

St Margarets in Richmond is the place that Kerry and I call home. Its has the feel of a village but the convenience of many shops. We have just had an offer on a house accepted so all going well it'll be our base for some years.

Richmond is renowed for the beautiful Richmond Park, which is the old Royal hunting grounds, and the wonderful Thames riverside. Is a great place for walking and getting away from the hussle and bussle of the city.

David Blaine decided it was a great idea to sit in a perspect box for a month without food..... now why didn't I think of that. We went and had a look see for ourselves.
