Prague is a great city with lots of architecture in various styles. Expect to do lots of walking since Prague can be seen mostly on foot.
I'd recommend 5 nights in Prague if you want to see most of the top sites plus take a couple of half day trips outside of Prague.
Some highlights of Prague: The Old Town Square & Astronomical Clock, Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square and The Castle Quarter. |
The Castle Quarter Plan to spend at least a half day visiting the Castle Quarter.
Check out the shops on Golden Lane, stop by the Royal Palace and climb to the top of St. Vitus Cathedral- 287 steps for amazing views of the city.
As you leave the area you can stop by the Toy Museum to check out a fun exhibit. |
Marionettes You will see marionettes all over Prague. Make sure to go see a show performed by marionettes one night. You can also buy one as a souvenir in many stores. |
