Vienna is a city with lots to offer. There is amazing architecture, palaces, music, culture and good food all over. Just wandering around the streets and stopping in shops or trying a cafe is also fun.
The top sites are the Vienna Opera House, Hofburg Palace, Schonbrunn, Hundertwasser, The Spanish Riding School etc...
We spent 3 nights which we felt was a good amount of time to see most of the top sites. |
Vienna Opera House The Vienna Opera House is a must see on the trip. We did the one hour tour and also saw a show at night. The tour was very informative and you get to see some really amazing rooms inside as well as go backstage. There are various shows to see. We were there during Mozart's birthday celebration so there was a special show going on for that week. |
Hundertwasserhaus and KuntsHausWien Friedrich Hundertwasser is not your typical artist. He designed some very weird/interesting buildings. You can check out his Hundertwasserhaus but you can't go inside. People actually live in this building. A couple of blocks away is a Hundertwasser Museum called KuntsHausWien. This is another interesting building which displays various pieces of his works.
