I was amazed by the walled city of Xian. It was the gateway of China for travellers from the West. The terra cotta warriors and horsemen of Emperor Shi Huang Di is enough reason to visit. There are so many other historic sites and excavation tomb sites that are worth exploring.
I happened to be there after 1990 Asian Games, there was a wonderful firework display lasting for several hours. If you were there too, please send me an email. |

SL, lovely overview page. I visited Xian in summer 2006, but can't find the time to build a page. This year there is an exhibiton of the terra cotta army in the museum in my birth town. 100.000 visitors allready ! | bijo69 Sat Apr 12, 2008 13:39 UTC
