Kyoto - Temples and Culture

by SLLiew - last update: Sep 3, 2007

Kyoto is the old capital of Japan. Kyoto has countless of beautiful temples, elegant gardens and cultural shows for tourists.

There is much less traffic that Tokyo. I found the subway system tio be efficient but limited in getting to my destinations.

The bus system complements the subway system in getting to all the tourist destinations. The bus arrives on time to minute that is displayed at each bus stand.

Kyoto has to be absorbed. Even the Kyoto dialect and food are little more softer and subtler. You may get a temple overdose so do not try to visit every single one of them.
