Macao - Portuguese outpost, now part of China

by SLLiew - last update: Jun 3, 2007

Macao has been traditionally the step sister of Hong Kong.

But with the casinos, Portuguese influence and less hectic pace, Macao is an incredible tourist destination to go at least once.

Macao is small, a mainland peninsula with impressive bridges connecting the the two other islands of Taipa and Coloane.

Among the countries I have visited in Asia, Macau is the best place for me. Pataca is the name of the currency in Portuguese.

Sounds like an interesting place to visit. Have you tried out the casinos? Would love to receive a postcard from here!
