Terengganu has a long eastern coastline facing the South China Sea.
It used to be a popular destination to watch the giant leatherback turtle lay their eggs but nowadays there are hardly any landings of this huge turtle species. Other turtle species landings are still common.
There is also gas and oil off shore. So you can see the brightly lighted at night refinery at Kertih.

very nice tips. i think i will be at home in this state. i will have to dig into my basement to get my abayas, scarves and chadors, but i will be fine here LOL. floating masjid - does the Qibla remains the same?
The Floating Mosque sounds so fascinating. The turtles would be grand to see. So would the beaches and diving. Very well executed pages.
Hi SL, good updates on terengganu state! I enjoyed my visit, but did not go to pulau redang long enough :)
Redang sounds to be a nice place for diving! It is sad to hear how the tourists disturbed the turtles and scared them away! Nice updates!
I definitely have to visit Malaysia again! So much to see...
Dind't know of such a nice beach.
Great to read about Negeri Terengganu, sad to read about the giant turtles... stil on Java & Bali,... thanks for info, greets RoyJava from The Hague, Holland
