Found Cambodia to be an exciting destination where the infrastructure ranges from 5 star hotels to "third world" dusty yellow unpaved road.
It is interesting to see strong French influence in the food, especially the long bread. |

It is just an amazing country with Angkor Wat, Lake Tonle Sap and the capital Phnom Phen. You cannot say that you have visited South East Asia unless you have been to Cambodia. Before Vietnam War, Cambodia was a major tourist destination. Tourists used Bangkok as a stop-over to visit the amazing Angkor Wat and rice was plenty and free if you order chicken rice.
Now tourism is returning and the country is healing. There are still landmines and decades of neglect waiting for economic development.
Cambodia is coming back. |
