Vatican City - Domicile of the Pope

by SLLiew - last update: Dec 4, 2007

Classical columns and statues around St. Peter's

This is the "mecca" of all Roman Catholics all over the world.

To be here to hear the sermons of the Pope.

It is also a "mecca" for tourists worldwide, amazed by the beautiful symmetry and lines and size of the plaza and dome of St. Peters and the famous paintings of the Sistine's Chapel by Michaelangelo.

Vatican City is recognized as one of the smallest "countries" in the world.

well i learn something new everyday - embalmed bodies of popes? i am sure when visitors see them they do pray to God to follow in the good footsteps of the popes.
