Located just 5 minutes walk from the Balik Pulau Market, this church is also known as the Holy Name of Jesus Church.

This Catholic church started in attap roof building in 1845 and was built in 1854 in Anglo-Indian architecture.

There is also a school under the same name in the compound.

Especially during the durian season in June-July, visit one of the many fruit orchard farms in Balik Pulau.

You can enjoy a durian buffet for a fixed price of RM25 or so per person. Then you can eat as much as you can and being introduced to the many famous varieties of durians from seedless, bitter, sweet, milk creamy to extra dry or extra sticky.

Usually, the older durian trees are better. The owner knows most of their fruits and can explained how to select the best durian by shaking, smelling or pattern of the thorns.

Don't forget to take a photograph of durians growing off the branches of the trees. It is evidence that you have seen a real durian tree at an orchard farm.
