You need to drive a hilly short-cut from Paya Terubong or Sungai Ara or a winding round from Teluk Kumbar in the south or round island from the Teluk Bahang from the north of the island. |

Balik Pulau is rustic and agricultural with fruit orchards, rice fields and Malay stilt houses as well as the township which is primarily Chinese shops.
Balik Pulau is famous for Balik Pulau durian (aromatic, high calorie seasonal fruit) and Balik Pulau laksa (rice noodle with fish gravy soup). |
