Borobudur is the "Pyramid of Java".
I went there on my way while travelling from Jakarta through Java Island to Bali Island.
Yogyakarta is the convenient gateway to Borobudur although you can also fly to Solo town (Surukarta).
Borobudur is one of three cultural UNESCO world heritage sites in Indonesia.
Another one is the Prambanan Temple which is near Yoygakarta. So you can kill two birds with one stone so to speak
