Fremont Fremont is on the north end of Seattle that has a reputation of being a little bit quirky and different. The slogan of the area is "Center of the Universe" and they try and live up to it. There is many different parades throughout the year, including the summer soltice parade. There are a few sites to see, like the Fremont Troll that lives under the northern end of Aurora Avenue bridge, a 7 ton statue of Vladimir Lenin rescued from a town in Slovakia, and a 53 foot rocket. THere are also different stores, small retail shops, and restaurants to meet your needs. http://www.fremontseattle.com/in dex.htm |
West Seattle - Alki Beach West Seattle, specifically Alki Beach, was where the first white settlers came to Seattle. The area is now a mix of older homes and newer condo construction. It acts as a mini-suburb to Seattle since there is only one way to get in and out, via the West Seattle bridge. The beach is one of the best in Seattle and has a good prominade to walk upon. |

I told her it was one of the most expensive cities to live in the US and that I might as well stay in NY. If I go to visit, will use your restaurant tips. | dejavu2gb Thu Jul 13, 2006 11:41 UTC Nice page on Seattle... I have to visit it someday, it looks really really nice!...
