"I Love Travel" suziherbert's Profile
My first love is India, I've been visiting for almost 20 years now, usually alone, as my husband feels the way I feel about india for South Africa. I've travelled all over the south (but for some reason, never Goa) and the north, and am off to visit friends and then tour around India for just over a month in Feb 2011
Our biggest project was a 3 month trip with my husband in Jan 2007 to South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka, - we had a great time there and loves every moment - so many interesting places to visit for the first time or to revisit old favorites
I live in, Dorset in the UK. Aged 48, I am married with three children (26, 24 & 21). I used to live in a Community based in an Elizabethan Manor House, with a Medeival Church in the garden. We lived with friends and people who sometimes had problems (mental health problems, addiction problems or stress). We moved in 2010 to a Community near Dorchester in a Franciscan Friary.
I also work part time as a nurse 3 nights a week in Dorchester (the town in Thomas Hardy's novels).
I really loved Jamaica in Sept 2006, we got a cheap flight and then I booked accomodation over the net. We stayed in Brandon Hill Guesthouse in Jamaica which was really quiet and peaceful, overlooking the bay. Next we moved to Zion Country Eco Tourist Cabins in Manchoneal, which was the most relaxing place ever, run by Free I. Really basic, just a cabin with beds, fan, lightbulb, and shared verandah overlooking manchoneal bay. Fantastic food & the best tour up to reach falls with Rene the guide.
Lastly we moved to Long Bay and to Yahimba beach cabins which were real luxury with attached bath, shower etc, right on the lovely sandy beach. we helped a stranded turtle back to the sea on our last night in the moonlight which was a lovely finish to the trip.
All in all a lovely memory.
