"Monkey Mia" Monkey Mia by Julian_Phatarfod

Monkey Mia is a huge resort located north of Denham about Halfway up the west coast of Australia. It is somewhat a pity that it is solely a resort, which is centered solely around tourism, as we were expecting a town of some sort. The dolphins that you can touch and walk up to (at special times of the day on the beach) are trained, which is also a pity that human influence was needed. Nonetheless, the resort is very well fitted: tennis courts, shops, camping spots, lodges, cabins, spas, pools and beach after beach.

Something I recommend people to visit is Shell Beach. It is halfway between Monkey Mia/Denham and the Overlander Roadhouse at the joining to the North-South highway of Western Australia. It is a beach, solely of shells, no sand. Kilometers of shells are located on the beach! Its really worth a short stopover.
