Ollebukta | Ollebukta, Tønsberg, Norway |
My husband and I taking a stroll along the sea in Tønsberg. Ollebukta has many popular bars, restaurants and a hotel. Enjoy a beer while watching the many luxurious boats that come into town during the summer to party. |
| | Slottsfjellett Tønsberg is Norway's oldest town. It is estimated to be as old as 871 a.d. It was in the 13th century King Håkon Håkonsson built his castle, Tønsberghus, Norway's largest medieval fortification with a circular wall, round turrets, citadels and Bredestuen. The town was destroyed by fire in 1536. Maybe most important landmark in the town is the tower standing on the hill. It was erected in 1888 as a memory of the old fortress, of which just fragmentaric ruins remain today |
