Restaurant Name: kareem's kababs and grill
One of the best kebab, tandoor and grilled food i have ever had till take. you will find a lots of them in india, but this one is perticularly the best...being a foodie i love all sorts of food, what makes this place special is the different variety and the service is real fast the place gets too crowded in the evenings, coz of numerous restaurants in the locality. there are only around 5-6 tables in the restaurant, its more like the street cafe...most customers prefer to either take away the food, or eat outside in their car. they have their waiters serve you in the car too.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish is chicken kali miri (grilled chicken in charcoal with black pepper) also try the chicken tikka rolls. for the veggies try the black daal(lentil) with roti(indian bread) frankly you will really love all the food here, coz the marination for the meat is really good. i always go here and buy a beer from the wine shop and eat my favorite chicken..hahaha

Restaurant Name: zenzi
The owners of the brilliant Vakzuid Bar in Amsterdam are co-owners of this just-opened gem in Mumbai's happening Bandra. Who said globalisation was a bad idea? A classy lounge bar and restaurant, your food is a selection of rich and spicy French, Thai, Japanese and Indonesian cuisine best enjoyed with some of the finest wines in the city -- many from South Africa. But it's the sumptuous glass-paned, wood-floored lounge area that you really want to spend most of your time, packed as it is with hordes of leggy Bombabes -- local models, actresses and TV stars -- sipping specialty cocktails from the sultry sofas while their boys sample a variety of Dutch and Indian beers. Your soundtrack is a mix of soothing western and Hindi tunes. Mumbai is the New York of the sub continent and it's getting just as global
Favorite Dish: My second home, that would be Zenzi.I have spent many an evening at Zenzi. The bartenders are a warm group of people who, if asked politely, will cater to any alcoholic whim. Whilst I have not truly explored the cuisine at Zenzi - mainly on account of my completely being immersed in the ambience, what I have tasted has been fabulous. It's a must go place.

Restaurant Name: madras cafe
This farmost best south indian restaurant in mumbai. there are basically 2 catogories of south indian restaurants in india. one is where you get only snacks, and one where you get your means (lunch/dinner) and there are few where you get both. Matunga (central) - one station before dadar on the central railway was sometime ago called mini-madras (chennai). but with the real estate prices increasing everyday, the local community has been moving places. its more of a mix- cosmopolitan area now. there are wide influence of south-indian culture including temples and restaurant here. this perticular one is on maheshwari udyan (King's circle).
Favorite Dish: its got the best south-indian food ever. try out the butter dosa (like pan-cakes) and also the curd-rice. and to end it, have filtered coffee. while paying your bill dont forget to have the famous paan. its a bit spicy but its good for digestion.

Restaurant Name: Origami
Origami, authentic Japanese restaurant embraces traditional recipes conjured up by Chef Kazuhrio Koizumi, Japanese speciality Chef. Exuding an understated elegance, Origami’s interiors are traditional and simple using interesting textures of natural woods and frosted glass panels. The restaurant showcases a live Sushi Bar counter with the most interesting display of seafood specially imported from Japan. Most people have preconceptions when it comes to Japanese food. Silver screen ideals and miscommunications have created stereotypes of raw fish and rice that were hard to break; however, true Japanese dining is a fascinating and complex art form. The principles of traditional Japanese dining revolve around the ideas of nature and harmony. All the elements of a meal should be in harmony, the elements of the dish, each of the dishes on the table, and the diner - with the emphasis on nature. Every effort is taken to prevent any of the natural flavours from being masked. Chef Koizumi has taken each step to assure that these elements come together at Origami for the experience to be as pleasing to the eye as to the palate. Origami features traditional Japanese cuisines like Teppan Yaki, Sushi, Teriyaki, and Tempura. It offers a range of Japanese food which both the experienced and the novice diner can enjoy. Origami offers 35-40 different varieties with 22 varieties of fish set up in a 45 seater restaurant with rectangle shaped Japanese lanterns, striking Asian tapestries, kimonos & dolls thus giving the dinning room a Zen like atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: crab and prawns sushi Open for Lunch & Dinner between 12 - 3.30 P.M & 7 - 11.30 P.M, all days of the week.

Restaurant Name: indigo
Voted by US Conde Nast as one of the top 60 restaurants in the world, you'll be blown away by Indigo. Spicy Thai food and other saucy Oriental flavours are the order of the day, but it‚s the design and décor that will turn your head. Located down a narrow street in Colaba, it‚s a high-ceilinged two-floored space with bar and restaurant downstairs and terrace and cigar bar up. 'Stucco die' walls done by an English artist give it a warm cosy feel while the cigar bar in deepest Indigo is the colour of deepest ocean. Take a leather armchair, light up a Cohiba and give praise to Krishna. Again you're among the Mumbai A-set with more models and movie stars than you can shake a Martini at. Say hello to owner Malini while you're there and look out for gorgeous, pouting, pint-sized Riya Sen, our favourite actress who can often be spotted at the bar
Favorite Dish: Indigo is a tastefully done set up which offers an mix of a cafe bar and a city bar appearance and show as it desires by the time of the day or week! The servers are well trained and know about their product, they know their wines and the dine, and best of all they know how to serve a guest. Its beautiful skylight gives a med look and upstairs the cigar lounge gives a very leathery and plush feel. Draft beer was not up to mark at all but other drinks were fine. The meal was very tasty, and well presented. You should just know here what you're ordering. You should also know about wine, cigars, and course servings and all etiquettes and you'll feel snug in place. Then, you can let your hair down and get smiles from all waiters.. cos you've passed! The better you come across, the more service you will get. Most people who do not seem to like this place, are probably not well heeled in the etiquette of dining out in elegance.
