Beijing is the capital city of China, however, it was not the first. Xian is considered the Past, Beiing the Present,and Shanghai the Future. These three cities compose the "Golden Triangle" Tian'an Men Square is the stage for demonstrations in the City of Beijing, both political and non-political. Tourists flock here daily to visit the infamous square, center of government past and present.

|  | Forbidden City Forming the very heart of Beijing, the Forbidden City is officially known as the Palace Museum, which was completed in 1420. It housed 24 emperors who ruled the Chinese more than 500 years. It has been open to the public since 1949.
Presently it is being refurbished to it's orginial opulence and stature in time for the many thousands of visitors coming to celebrate the Summer Olympics 2008. |
