| Kenneth, Thomas, Myself, and Anders |
As Thomas, Anders, and myself sat around in July trying to figure out a good trip to take Kenneth on for his last weekend in the United States, we came to the brilliant idea of having a long weekend in Vegas.
THURSDAY
We departed on a direct Southwest flight from BWI. You know it is going to be a good trip when the fun starts right one the plane. We befriended the best flight attendants ever. We stood in the back of the plane, and helped ourselves to beer as we pleased. At the end of the flight, they told us how much we owed & we happily paid our dues.
We check into our suite at the newest addition to the Mandalay Bay Resort, THEHotel. What a magnificent place!!! Ultra sleek & contemporary. Each room has a living room with a 48" HD Plasma TV, bedroom with room for four, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub & separate shower and plasma TV, and an additional bathroom by the entrance.
After we checked in, we made our way to Studio 54 @ the MGM Grand. Upon arrival, we saw a rather large line at the door. We decided to talk to he hostess, and get a VIP table upstairs. The place never really got too packed, but it was also a Thursday night.

When we woke up on Friday, we proceeded to the wave pool @ the Mandalay Bay. Every four minutes the pool would generate a wave around 6' tall. It was fun but too many kids, so we decided to kick it at a more secluded pool towards the South End of the resort.
We spend about four hours at the pool until it was time to get a bite to eat. We gambled a little bit after dinner, took showers, and headed over to the Palms, Ghost Bar. We spent the rest of the evening at Ghost Bar rubbing shoulders with celebrities like OJ. Got kicked out when they shut the place down around 5am.

We woke up late & headed to the pool again. We were being picked @ 2:30pm in order to take an airplane tour of the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead. Anders decided to have several burgers before the plane ride, and that didn't settle too well in his stomach. When we came back to the Hotel we took a quick nap to recharge the batteries. We decided to go to TABU @ the MGM that night, and it ended up being the wisest decision. What an incredible place!!!! Music & the drinks were great.
SUNDAY
Anders & Kenneth left but Thomas & I stayed. We have a calm day at the pool, nice diner, and we went to see ZUMANITY @ the NY NY Hotel. This was the best show I have ever seen in my life, and Thomas thought the same. After the show, we had some drinks at Nine Fine Irishmen .
We had a great time overall, and we all agreed that we will make our way back to VEGAS real soon |
