Sweltering heat~~ | Angkor wat- back view of the main temple |
Coming from a tropical country myself, I must say this place is extremely hot! Can't go outside without breaking into a ton of sweat. Feels like a Suana.. Got a bit sun-burnt from this trip! If you're planning a trip to the Angkor Temples, bring Lots of water!!! |
| | Cambodian food I shall miss the beef and pork Loklak dishes- served in a variety of ways, with onions, eggs, morning glory vegetables, basil.. Love them all! Here's a picture of the one we had at the restaurant number 17 at Angkor Thom's Bayon temple.. USD$3.50 higher price than in town or countryside but it was delicious!! |
| Me under some roots at Ta Phrom |
| | Here is my favourite! Of all the various Angkor temples in the entire Angkor complex (small circuit, grand circuit and outskirts), I love Ta Phrom for the beautiful roots (see picture) and Beng Melea for being the highlight of our trip. Beng Melea had us up and under roots and rock ruins with a guide.. well worth the 2 hours journey there from Siem Reap town and the extra USD$5 we had to fork out to visit this place. (admission for beng melea is a separate charge) What an adventure it was!! |
