Dublin and Edinburgh together are half the fun.

Glasgow is the Keltic capital

The keltic festival in January was a superb intro duction to the spirit of the city and i have learned so much about Scotland ,the scots and the city from the bars here, from the best backpackers in the world and the biggest student music scene i have experienced and i have lived in Dublin,Edinburgh,London andOxford.
I have learned about winston churchhill making Glasgow the capital and mustering city of the free Polish Government .I have been to the Still Polish EX Military club and the Polski Social club and found memorials outside the LARGE Polish community Church and met both the roman Catholic priests ministering to a long established congregation and a n Eastern orthodox Cathedral with Polish family members. There are also Polish Jewish families attending one of Europes oldest Synagogues in virtually the only country in Europe that has never had a pogrom or restrictions to their religious worship. No this is not cold capital Edinburth it is Scotlands New York melting pot.
Did you know Both New York and Glasgow were the same size at the turn of 1800 and by 1900 were the biggest cities in their respective country's?
I have never been to the Americas but believe the spirit of these 2 cities was forged by the hard work of the masses and i was not surproised to see the backpackers had a resplendant Statue of Liberty in the Courtyard /bbq area.
It just seemed so obvious.
