Visited Yerevan and lake Sevan in april 2007.Yerevan had an altitude of 1000meters and Sewan about 1900. We experienced a blizzard on our way to Sevan so April may be a bit to early if you want to go in the spring. The Ararat was also cowered in clouds.
Mountains on the other side are almost Azerbaijian.
Charming place. Will return to Caucasus. |

Real taxis are cheap but dont be fooled by fake taxis at the airport.
Get a fixed price in advance. You can probably afford to go anywhere you want in this country by taxi. Armenian taxi drivers are usually older men. THEY DONT SPEAK ENGLISH. |
