"Jakarta" a Jakarta Travel Page by Terje1966

Have really not much info on this gigantic city. (How many are they really?? Some say 9 and some say 13 million inh)
We stayed there for only 2 days and visited the zoo and some shopping malls. As everywhere else (at the few places i have been to in this country) people were curious about us and what we were doing there. Not many europeean looking people to see. The traffic was a chaotic scene where everyone where driving like they were trying to win some sort of race. Helping each other to get along is totally out of the question. The street outside our hotel (Sparks at Mangga Besar Raya 42) was both wery dirty and charmingly exotic to us as they were serving snake meat with live snakes in a cage.
Would really like to go back there again sometimes.
