Calbayog City is the 19th oldest city in the Philippines.It is situated in the western part of the island of Samar with land area of 90,300 hectares,consisting of 157 Barangays (town) and 3 districts, Calbayog,Tinambacan and Oquendo.Dialects & language spoken are Waray,Cebuano,Tagalog,Boholano and English.
Calbayog has 2 Seasons; the Wet and Dry Season.Wet or Rainfall Season is making the city appropriate for agricultural investment.Dry Season is during summer March,April and May.

 In May 2008 a tricycle ride was 5-10 pesos, depending on the distance. If you are 5' 10" or more, you may have to scrunch down a little in the side car. It's worth the small price. They even help you stack your groceries.
