Welcome to Northumberland! This region is characterized by magnificent castles, palaces, national parks, countless museums, abbey, beautiful gardens, biggest man-made artificial lake in Europe and many more.
These castles and palaces were part of England's history. Most of them are now museums or just ruins, some of them were used for film setting, such as Harry Potter, Elizabeth,Calendar girls and many more..

Hadrians Wall is really worth seeing and it is funny to learn that the north of the island Britannia was totally un-interesting for the old Romans, but they were afraid of the wild Scots !
