A big Thank You goes to a couple of VTers from Bergamo. They gave me tips on how beautiful their hometown is. I decided to see it for myself and there is no regret. I flew from Paris via RyanAir and landed at the Orio al Serio International Airport in Bergamo. This airport is popular among low-cost airlines, one of which is the RyanAir which I mentioned earlier and one of the European airlines that I post for great deals. I always keep an eye on the low cost airfare of this airline to be shared with my fellow VTers and VT guests. It was a smooth journey and a very pleasant trip, indeed. Bergamo has old and wonderful two cities: Uptown, the Citta Alta and Downtown, the Citta Bassa approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Milan. A pretty town in the foothills of the Alps.
Bergamo can be reached either by bus, by train, or by plane. If you enjoy walking, you can even go around the town on foot. By doing this, you will be able to see the details of its medieval beauty. The town is worth a visit. Just like me, you will say to yourself..."I will be back and see you again"

I did actually fall whilst in Bergamo just as we had exited the funicular, I was ok nothing hurt only my pride :-(( |
