A Qatifi friend in his Dates plantation - Al Qatif

Welcome to al-Qatif

Saudi Arabia is the place where I lived for ten years working with Saudi Arabian Oil Company. During my stay, Al-Qatif which is around one hour by bus from where I live in Dhahran is a very quiet place and friendly people. During my frequent visit in al-Qatif, my Saudi friend had to request his sister to prepare Saudi food everytime I visit them. Unfortunately, there was no chance to see or meet his sisters as it is against their religion. Nevertheless, the food was sumptous that I still eat them whenever I find them in Canada. My friend would take me to their fruit plantation (a lot to mention) and Dates fruit.

I will start my Al-Qatif memorable experiences by posting some photos taken with my Saudi friend. Enjoy!
