Welcome to Santo Tomas

New Municipal Building in Santo Tomas, Batangas
Santo Tomas is the only town in the province of Batangas where all the 30 barangays were named after the Saints. Maybe that is the reason why people in the community are polite, friendly, and mostly religious. I would like to share with you the names of the Barangays, here it goes.......

Santo Tomas - Town
San Agustin
San Antonio
San Bartolome
San Felix
San Fernando
San Francisco
San Isidro Norte
San Isidro Sur
San Joaquin
San Jose
San Juan
San Luis
San Miguel
San Pablo
San Pedro
San Rafael
San Roque
San Vicente
Santa Ana
Santa Anastacia
Santa Clara
Santa Cruz
Santa Elena
Santa Maria
San Tiago
Santa Teresita

Santa Anastacia is the Barangay where I was born, raised, and educated. I love the place being simple, quiet, and friendly neighbors. I can still remember during my childhood when all our neighbors enjoy the "bayanihan". Based on my interpretation, Bayanihan is a Filipino way of volunteering to friends and neighbors for whatever help they need. Most people come out of their way to make things possible. You can count on your friends and neighbors to build your house for free. You can count on them to plant "palay" or rice so as to finish in a day...for free. And so much more.
Those were the days!

Pros:"Simple life - Friendly people"
Cons:"Narrow Streets - No Pavement - Risky to Pedestrian"
In A Nutshell:"Use to be Sleepy - Now it has Awaken....Livelier!"
