I like to be constantly moving. There is always somewhere to go, something to see, something to experience.
I fill my nights and weekends to the point where I don't know when I'll actually have "free time." I plan my next trip before I'm even done with my current one. People tell me I'm going to burn out at this pace but I've been going strong for quite some time now.
I want to see everything. I must say road trips are my favorite. There is no better way to see the countryside. There are too many things you may miss when moving from destination to destination by plane.
I'm a beach and a bar girl, I can't resist the call of either. I grew up on Cape Cod and I had a lot of both. I definitely look forward to late summer nights around a fire down at the usual spot.
I can't imagine living away from the coast. I love that gritty feeling of spending the day in the sun and the salt water. I love when my car is full of sand. Forget air conditioning.....I need to drive with the windows down. Nothing feels better than barefeet, sunsoaked skin, and salt in your hair. (But wear sun block kids!)
I have really only begun what I consider to be a long career of travel, but I've covered more ground than I thought I would at this point.
Like most VTers out there, I'm sure, I have my next 5 trips already planned in my head. It's hard to be a part of a community like this and not imagine all the possiblities.
VT is a welcoming place and I have taken so much from reading all of those many pages that everyone has put so much time and devotion into writing. It's wonderful to find others who share this passion.
That being said, you are all a bad influence. My bank account will suffer for this. How dare you make me travel, meet people, and enjoy myself! Shame on you ; )
I feel like 2006 was my breakthrough year for travel. After getting to Moscow I have felt like I could do anything, and oh yes, the plans began to form.
I *try* to be good most of the time but really I am just gearing up for mischief and mayhem. There is always time set aside for some mystery trip that has yet to be determined.
2011:
March - annual weekend visit to NYC to see my favorite Saccharinicity
May - hit Atlanta, GA over Memorial Day Weekend where I simmered in the heat.
August - did a hit and run of Montreal since I was in VT and it was just so close anyway...
September - had my Bermuda trip thwarted by Tropical Storm Maria so went to the Highland Games at Loon in NH instead. Also finally got to the N.W. U.S. where I attended my friends' wedding in Seattle, and then some.
October - traveled with my sis for the first time since 2006, stayed with a friend in Chicago for 4 days.
December - wrapping up with a quick few days in Washington D.C. to finally see something at the Smithsonian besides the Air and Space Museum
In 2012 I turn 30. The big plan is Munich, Vienna, Prague, and Budapest in November with my best travel buddy and my sister. The rest of the year includes Portland & Seattle, Las Vegas, and a partial cross-country roadtrip (I'm thinking Vancouver to Chicago).

I´m doing great.
Travelling non stop 12 months a year at the moment.
Got back from Singapore this morning and will fly to Lisbon next week.
That was my last VT meet too. BTW, love your profile photo!
just dropping a line to say hi.. Nice pages!
I'll drink to that--responsibility blows! ...And a lot of people under 40 have abandoned the site. Guess that doesn't help either. :/
