After a lot of surfing the internet, we found this private small bungalow complex, through their web -site, and after exchanging several emails, we went ahead and pre booked a Bungalow for the new year period for a total of 8 nights- boy did we make the right choice !
The owners of CasaTia are Maryline and Paul, who arranged a hire car for us for the whole of our stay in Mauritius, and they personally met us at the airport to hand the car over and welcome us to Mauritius.
We would highly recommend this accommodation to any one going to Mauritius. You get treated like part of the family, and every thing is done to make your stay a memorable one.
Unique Qualities: We received a great welcome at the accommodation, the oddjob boy had cut fresh coconuts from the garden and the maid had filled them with local rum punch.
The service was excellent the bungalows like home from home and the tropical gardens and private swimming pool fantastic.The mountain side scenery is wonderful, the only noise is being awoken by bird song in the garden.
We went walking in the mountains , hired bikes and Paul took us deep sea fishing in his boat. We met lots of the local villagers who also made us welcome and invited us to their homes in the fishing village nearby.
What with barbeques ,parties on the beach and the brilliant local beaches , we had the best holiday we can remember, and we can't wait to go back to experience some more genuine Mauritian hospitality.

Directions: Secluded location in a valley, at the foot of a mountain,yet close to the beach, and a convenient bus stop,where you can take a short trip to some fabulous nearby beaches.
It's not a touristy area, but gives you a real taste of Mauritius.
