    • We had a lovely Italian (Yes in russia) meal in a reataurant in the Europa Hotel. Very reasonable $55 for a three course meal for two. Beautiful restaurant, good quick service and you can change currency and post your postcards too while you're there. Only don't bring IEP (Irish Punts)- there is only one bank to change these it's just up the road from this hotel about two or three turns right, it's a cobbled peidestrianised street and tucked onto the right is a bank that recognises Irish currency. It took us three days to find this bank. But Dollars are easily changed.
    Beautifully decorated and clean. Sit by the window and do a bit of people spotting.

    Favorite Dish: Minestronie soup and tagatelli carbonara - mmmmmm.

     We must have passed each other in the icy, pothole-filled streets back in Feb'01!! Lucky you + the Kirov!. I went inside the theatre lobby there with my Russian friend and she had never even heard of Baryshnikov!!! How sad beyond belief, I thought...;-O    		fizzb Sun Jan 26, 2003 16:53 UTC
