I loved this hotel! It was spread over two buildings on the same street, and we had a beautiful room on the top floor of the secondary building. The hotel took security pretty seriously, with a key to the gate in front of the building, another to the building itself, and a third for your room, and there's a safe in the wardrobe. The hotel reception (in the main building) is always open, which is very handy as they ask you to leave your key when you go out, so that they know who is in the building in case of emergencies. Breakfast, also in the main building, is buffet style, with a choice of cornetto, bread rolls, ham and cheese, or cereal, with coffee, tea and juices, and is included in the price of the room (not always the case in Rome). The staff do speak English.
Unique Qualities: Room 207, I highly recommend it! The door was on the third storey, but behind the door was another staircase which led up to the room. Once in the room, there was another step up to the ensuite shower room, and within this, another step up into the shower! Perhaps not great for people with restricted movement, but I thought it was so sweet! We also had a balcony formed by the flat roof of the rooms below, on both sides of our room, which was lovely, especially in the evening. We even had a picnic dinner out there one night!
