FOOD

The food in Singapore is so diverse and cheap, to say nothing to the taste - its so yummy! I ate at expensive restaurants, road side stalls, Little India, Arab Street and average priced restaurants. I would never go back to expensive restaurants because a huge plate of many types of ethnic food can be obtained so cheaply at the little stalls and cafes - you'll never eat it all. Transport

Efficient trains in SG

You can see more about this on my tips for SG, but to put it simply, you would be crazy to own a car in SG. Public transport is so efficient and cheap. Trains (MRT) go everywhere and cost so litte; they run to almost everywhere every few minutes. Buses are a good alternative and cheap and frequent. Taxis are clean, and readily available. I think they are cheap (compared to Australia) but the locals are complaining of a hike in taxi prices.

ACCOMMODATION

Raffles Hotel

Hotels abound at all prices. Good and not so good, depending on your needs and satisfaction level. I was so fortunate to stay in the home of my friend - a local Singaporean so I got to taste the best of it all. This pic is of Raffles Hotel - a very "upmarket" hotel..........I didnt stay here :)))

Pros:Clean, safe, efficient and slick city
Cons:Too humid
