National Capital

Essential Destination for all Australians

The flag flies 24/7 - illuminated at night.
Visited Canberra during a time of debate on "what should potential migrants to Australia know about the home of their choice?" & "should emigrants answer questions about our culture before they get the key to the door?"
Forget the inane questions! I suggest a promise to visit Canberra within 5 years of arriving would suffice.
It's a wonderful destination. Lots of meaningful stuff to see.
Loved the trees!!
See the wealth of tips by other VT Posters. The only one I'll duplicate I'll put here. Start your Canberra visit at the National Capital Exhibition located at Regatta Point in Commonwealth Park.

There is often something to learn on VT like the story of these lions. I hope you will return one day to Ieper and the other WW I battle fields of Belgium. All the best.

Germany & France also debate endlessly about what immigrants are expected to know. Germany used to have an exam for them, but withdrew it after many natives flunked. The French Ministry of Immigration has been renamed Immigration and National Identity.

G'day Pedro, I'll vote for you to return to Canberra, based on this page! Liked your restaurant tips - as Oliver said (but this time in reference to tips) "More please".
