Just when you thought there was not a coffee to be had between Forster and Newcastle, Mayer's Flats provides a welcome stop "in the middle of nowhere". Actually it's 10 km's south of Bungwahl on the Lakes Way and about the same distance east of the Pacific Highway. Bungwahl is in the Myall Lakes District of New South Wales and Lakes Way is part of the route taken during a road trip south of Forster along the coast.

Cafe is open from 10 am to 4 pm Wednesday to Sunday and on long weekends Sat/Sun/Mon.

    goit a friend who lives at Bunyah on the road from Forster to Gloucester - who knows, maybe I will have a coffee at this place one day
