"Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket Single" Germany by tmaresh

Hey, I just got back from Germany!

The cost to fly there: $288, including taxes and fees, RT, EWR-CGN.

The cost on the ground transport: EUR 18, for a one-day all-you-can-ride ticket on local transport trains (actually, I bought a second one to get back to the airport.) The ticket is entitled "Klasse 2 Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket Single." The information lady at the Main Train Station by the Cathedral helped me first buy it on the machines there, because I couldn't find the right buttons at the airport machine, and so I bought a simple ticket into the Main Station on that machine, and the Airport machine wouldn't take my Visa card, so I had to go to an ATM machine in the airport and then buy the ticket. The train station machine had no trouble taking my Visa Bank Card.

• Cons:Benzene (gas) is expensive
• In a nutshell:Take the Wine Road! It's easy!
