In 1964 I was camping in Ensenada, Mexico. We rented an Airstream "park model", it was ok! I remember walking along the jetty and looking at the sea urchins and starfish.
Then, several times later up until the mid 1980's.
Punta Banda, Tres Hermanas, and Rosarita Beach, Baja Norte,Mexico.
Sport fishing off Los Islas Coronados many times.
In 1979 I went RV / ATV camping at San Felipe, BC Norte, Mexico.
and again in the mid 1980's at Rueben's RV Park.
My next trip down to Baja CA Notre will be sooner than later God willing.
I've heard that there has been millions of dollars of development in and around San Felipe, Baja Norte, Mexico in the past 3 years.

My wife and I have done around 45-50 day hikes up here.
I like to journal each hike that we've been on.
So, if anyone has a question about the state, fell free to ask me.

In 1991, it took a lovely wife and the advice of his Dermatologist to leave Southern California.
So John and Helen went up to the Pacific Northwest where she was from and where his sisters lived.
The day-hikes, nighttime walk's, camping and light off-road driving got John back to health.
He did that and much more.
John, a (SSL) Spanish as second language student was also a Journeyman Culinarian.
Growing up in southern California, his dad taught him saltwater sport fishing.
Some of his first experiences were fishing off the Imperial Beach and Carlsbad piers through the late
1960's to mid 1980's
Needless to say, saltwater fishing is nothing new to him. "HELLO" he loves it then and now.
John's infectious enthusiasm about Baja Mexico has been reflected in his many pen & ink drawings and his
Latest trip there in 1987. It is very unlikely that many of us would ever even know what Baja CA, Norte, Mexico looks like to an Artist.
Although his finances and current responsibilities don't permit more frequent visits to Baja, we
Know he prays for a near future Baja trip. Each piece of art and poem remain as a collectors piece to John's
Vision. He thinks about the possibility of a sort of Worship ministry for any who would ever want to trust Jesus.

John W. and his lovely wife Helen, have lately had several conversations about her wanting to learn Spanish also.
Especially now since Helen's cousin "Dick Flajole" is still a RV Park Host/Snowbird down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
John would love to take Helen down there for a week or so and do the sights.
On the other hand Helen would much rather visit Hawaii since she has never yet visited there. So As soon as they can get "caught-up"
, ie.1) finish condo interior,improvement job, 2) They can start planning this trip (God willing of course).
