Jaisalmer in the state of Rajasthan is the city located in the heart of the Thar or the Great Indian Desert. You can take an AC bus or the state transport buses to Jaisalmer from Jaipur, Jodhpur or any other Rajasthani city. It is devoid of an airport. We took an AC bus from Jaipur. The main attraction of the city is its fortress and ofcourse, the Jaisalmer Desert Festival. In 2007, the Festival will begin from 31 Jan-2 Feb.
A sadhu giving lectures on the streets of Jaisalmer on Hinduism. They are stupid and just want to earn money. Donot Bother them.
