Pictures and more pictures! Since my dear friend Glen (fullmoonfever) really wants to see some pictures, I am putting them up here.
Later, I will write up all sorts of lovely tips to go along with them.
Enjoy! |
| | Cenotes The Yucatan peninsula is made of limestone. This means that there are no rivers - the water filters down into the ground and forms vast underground waterways.
In time, these eat into the limestone, causing it to colapse and forming cenotes. These can be deep holes, many meters down or the water may come up to ground level, forming lakes. |
| | Tulum - or why October is low season Yep - I got a lot of rain. The weather was still very warm, so it was more of a bother than anything else. |
