A city of many facets Blue skies, beaches, the Sugar Loaf and the Christ - these are usually the first images that come to mind when Rio is mentioned.
But Rio is much more than just that.
Squeezed between the sea and the hills, and spreading out inland as well, the city is huge, with over 8 million inhabitants. These range from favelados (the inhabitants of the favelas) to socialites, from traditional families to immigrants from the northeast. Artists, students, surfers, workers, maids and moguls - there are people of all sorts! Just find out where each "tribe" hangs out! |
