Restaurant Name: In-N-Out Burger
The In-N-Out Burger restaurant chain can be found all over southern California, they are legendary to locals and practically unheard of by non-locals. The menu items here are pretty basic - burgers, fries, shakes & soda. But what many tourists don't know about is the secret menu that exists at In-N-Out Burger. There are all sorts of secret codes that you can use to get your burger exactly how you want it. For example, a double-double is 2 patties, 2 slices of cheese. You can order a 3x3 which is 3 patties/3 cheese (yikes!), and there is even such a thing as a 4x4! If you order your burger "protein" style, it is served wrapped in lettuce, instead of in a bun. There are others as well. Here is a link to the secret menu:
in-n-outThe prices here are extremely cheap. My son and I find the burgers and fries so large that we usually share an order of fries.
AND! They are open late - until 1:00 am Sunday thru Thursday and 1:30 am on weekends.
Favorite Dish: The burgers at In-N-Out are excellent, one of the best fast-food burgers I've ever tasted. The burgers are made fresh to order - no pre-freezing and NO microwaves! Fries are hand-cut all day long. They even bake their own buns! My favorite is Animal style, complete with fried onions.
In-N-Outs can be found all over the place, but the one that we always make a stop at when we're in Anaheim is the one in Fullerton. You go north on Harbour Blvd to Orangethorpe, about a 15 minute drive. It is just north of the intersection of Harbour & Orangethorpe, on the east side of the street. An added bonus is that the Disney Character Warehouse is directly across the street from this location, so you can stop in there as well!
