Restaurant Name: Cafe Kor
This one's for nicolaitan...
Food. Downright lovely. No nonsense, chaste but flavorful.
Ambience. The quintessential, romantic bistro.
Service. Outstanding. I wanted to wrap up our waiter and bring him Stateside. The service was endearing. That's right...positively endearing.
Dress. Casual. However before and after concerts, upgrade to casual chic.
Price. Given the quality of food, very reasonable by American standards.
Advice. Be certain to make reservations.
Favorite Dish: Hell, I don't even know where to start. For the appetizer, one
must begin with the duck liver paired with a recommended Tokaj wine. Deadly. At the time, I wasn't certain that I would be able to continue as I felt I had reached the pinnacle of orgasmic eating. But I did continue. I followed with the Tangerine Duck and the traditional Hungarian pasta. While the pasta was not the perfect compliment to the Tangerine Duck, both dishes were excellent. Tangerine duck was sincerely succulent with the perfect sense of citrus poignancy. The Hungarian pasta was the ultimate in comfort food. Upon completion, I just wanted to sit around and rub my tummy.
My husband had the Beef Tartar and our conversation stopped abruptly upon his first bite. I did manage to sneak a small taste which was very rewarding.
