Taos, and old Trading Town | One side of the plaza on Veteran's Day |
The city fathers of Taos have tried to keep their town different than Santa Fe. The homes seem to have more room and are scattered across the landscape. The town has elected to remain historical looking. Be sure and visit the plaza as your starting point. There are hundreds of small shops and galleries, so if you are big on shopping or looking for art, this is your place!
The Taos Indian Pueblo is located a few miles from the center of town. You cannot walk this distance in any sort of good time. |

darlenelliott Sun Feb 22, 2009 01:10 UTC If you lived in NM for many years you should know that we do not serve "Mexican" food. It is NEW MEXICAN food and very, very different from mexican food. I agree that the food is good at Ogilvie's. Sorry but couldn't let it pass without correction. | Martinewezel Sat Nov 18, 2006 16:55 UTC I'll keep that restaurant in mind when we happen to be in Taos. Looks as if you had a wonderful trip! | Janani Wed Nov 15, 2006 20:01 UTC It seems like this place has an interesting history and I have to say I never saw a more cheerful looking skeleton! |
